I am an English freak from new Delhi.
i feel like using hard copy dictionary makes me easier to remember the vocab that’s why i seldom use online version
Hello actually i am beginner of English spoken sp please guide me which book is better for me and i want to clear my all doubts with clarity so suggest about it
This is my favourite English dictionary but unfortunately this current edition is comes in b&w form in India … 😏 Earlier it used to publish in colourful edition … 😊
I'm so glad that I found this video, because I keep struggling with the same thing. I consume a lot of media in English (especially books of nonfiction) and I can understand it quite well. But when I try to write, I feel hesitant and insecure. Some things (such as the present perfect x past simple usage) have always been difficult for me, regardless of the fact that I've been using English daily (passively, most of the time) for over a decade. I thought I was exceptionally stupid for not learning through reading and listening as much as people said I would. And since I'm thinking about becoming an English teacher, I've decided to study grammar. The blue book was fine, but the green one (for advanced learners) is kicking my ass, and I'm only on unit 5 lol PS.: I saw in a comment that your native language is Russian, which is my favorite language! I've tried learning it too and it was extremely hard. If I had more time and mental energy, I'd try to study more, because it's a beautiful language and I love Russian music (like Molchat Doma).
This useful ❤
Glad you think so!
Awesome ur video really helpful
Glad to hear that!

It is good to start English from basics. If l suggest to anyone how to learn English, you should start from basics.
Yes!
The book is written for advanced users of the language as well as teachers who want a deeper understanding of English grammar. It's definitely useful and can help you grasp the nuances of the language. As a helpful tip, the pronunciation of the word "use" in "Grammar in Use" might be interesting to learn.
Thanks for the info!

I'm from Chennai and I speak Tamil natively, and English as my second language. I definitely didn't need to watch this video as speaking English is second nature to me. I stuck around regardless due to your narrative style with a slowed-down cadence and a dash of kindness and positivity on top, which was refreshing to hear, I must say. I listened and picked up some useful refresher on those terminologies too! Honestly suprised to see the subscriber count as I expected it to be more, judging from the quality content. I expect it soar sky high in the near future. Good luck!
Thank you for watching the video and leaving a really nice comment! It's greatly appreciated. 🙂
@@LadyGiraffeEnglish I usually only reply-comment arguing with strangers on opposing views LOL, so a rare appreciation comment from me! (Not flexing😂) It goes to show that how well you hooked me by radiating sheer positivity that I HAD to comment. 😄
@@BurnerCoolio I feel honoured. 😀 I truly believe that the process of learning languages should be enjoyable, hence the positivity.
@@LadyGiraffeEnglish True indeed, I can resonate with that fact as I'm currently learning Spanish and I wish you were a Spanish maestra instead haha
@@BurnerCoolio Spanish is a really cool language! I'm learning Greek right now. I've recently discovered a fantastic-sounding Spanish band, so if you're into rock music, check out Mägo de Oz.
I'm a fluent English speaker and I bought the Advanced Grammar In Use because of that... I do not regret, but if someone asks me whitch one buy then I'll certainly say to buy the English Grammar In Use (the blue one).
I completely agree.

Hey Olga. I've got a question. How can I improve speaking fluency by myself and for free? I have considerably improved my pronunciation but I am not happy with my fluency yet. I took an IELTS speaking mock test which shows that my speaking score range is 6.5 -7.0. I guess the fluency and vocabulary parts prevented me from getting 7.5 or above.
I share a few practical tips on how to improve speaking fluency by yourself in this video: ua-cam.com/video/izJtrG63_1Y/v-deo.html. Fluency is probably the easiest part to improve by yourself, in my opinion. All you need to do is practice speaking as much as you can. For example, you can try recording yourself speaking on random topics on your phone. Or have a video diary or something. Basically, speak regularly, out loud.
